Wright States financial crisis is the major concern at the university. Classes are not hard you just have to study for exams to get an A. The food is overpriced and rarely ever good. Anytime I contact someone for help I get the run-around and never have the issue dealt with. The classes aren't hard if you get the right professor. I only went the WSU so I can live at home and save some money. Get what you pay for! Will NOT be attending graduate school here!! ...Continue reading

I commute about a half hour each day. I'm a good student but there are professors who put random stuff on exams. Campus life is dead, go into the city for excitement. It's a great school I hear if you live on campus cause your more open to opportunities but I drive 40 minutes each time to get here and its an okay cheap school. Take early classes in an attempt to avoid that. Bathrooms can be kinda gross. The only good food is either the Denny's or Pizza Hut on campus, or just go off campus to get food. ...Continue reading

It's a commuter school so there's not much going on. However, I expected more social interaction between students. Most seem like spoiled brats who always have their phone in their faces so you can't even maintain conversations. Parking is a nightmare. Professors and classes are great, book prices are outrageous. Good school if you're not looking for the college experience. ...Continue reading

Pretty much what I expected. Advisors are a pain and do not know what they are doing some of the time. You will get jerked around a bunch by administration. Overall, the school is pretty great. It's been very programming heavy so far. I like ITSystems related stuff, and I hate programming. You'll basically have no life. Only other choice is MIS, but its business heavy. Some of the professors are decent, many of them suck. I've had bad CSCEG Proffs, and bad Math Proffs. Wifi is terrible. Parking is very terrible. It is a good bang for your buck, but if you want a college experience, go somewhere else. ...Continue reading

The academics are alright, like I said, hit or miss. Great Career Services helping students find jobs, internships and will edit your resume. Math department is horrible. No football team. There's not a whole lot to do on campus because it is primarily a commuter school. A friend got to his 4th year, and when he was about to graduate WSU told him they couldn't grant him the degree they told him he could get through WSU 4 years ago. So he's now going to a tech school nearby to get a 2 year degree. BE CAREFUL! Lot of residents still are closest to their friends back home so they might not care or go home every weekend. I'm so in love with this school, it's my home away from home. Not too big but not too small. Classes aren't too hard but I also still feel I'm learning something. Food on campus isn't great and neither is the night life. People are decent. Overall Wright State is a good school. Fairly large school with rapidly growing campus. The major emphasis right now is improving the campus community which is tough with a large commuter population . Disappointments: Too many bad professors, no formal football program for an 18,000 student school is ridiculous ...Continue reading

This school is great but lacks Graduate programs and involvement opportunities. Some adjuncts have no idea what are they doing. On the other hand, some tenure professors teach you what is their opinion instead of just give you facts. Food is bad and prices are getting up. ...Continue reading

WSU has been a commuter school for a really long time, so it's no surprise that there aren't a TON of social events that are well attended. However, Dayton is a REALLY boring place unless you try hard to find friends and things to do outside of school. ...Continue reading

Definitely a bang for your buck. This campus and the campus life is what YOU put into it. Quit expecting everyone else to do it for you and put on your big girl undies and go meet people. There are many faculty members who genuinely care about you and your education and so many opportunities on campus. If you are a Freshman, LIVE IN THE DORMS. ...Continue reading

The school is ok, chemistry department suck they have some of the worst professors and do nothing about it. Food from the commons area isn't much better than a school lunch in high school. Lots of places to eat around, but if you leave, good luck finding a parking spot again. WSU always has some kind of organized event going on to help gather students. Overall, not a bad place ...Continue reading

Wright state is a great school with awesome professors. (You'll walk across campus and 10 people you know will say hi.) The social scene can be a bit slow (bc of commuters) but the professors are dedicated to teaching and care about students. Campus is always expanding and is pretty big. Parking is post-apocalyptic (horrible). ...Continue reading

Its okay, but I wouldn't want to go anywhere else. I have a dorm and had to had move twice. If you do random they will try to pair you up with someone with is the opposite race. I had not liked living in the dorms. I would prefer living in the province it is so much cheaper than the dorms anyways. ( $5,000 cheaper) engineering, nursing, science majors are ranked nationally, very well respected, and tons of opportunities and jobs, but that's the best this school has to offer, socially it is not that good since most people leave on weekends and commute, very little parties, most people are not outgoing, parking sucks!! ...Continue reading

Wright state is a great school, the food could be better, but it is truly a wonderful place! There isn't much parties that happen, you have to know where to look. The on-campus life is okay but its not very social, since most people are commuters. People say the sports suck but its actually really awesome if you go! The weekends are very boring, food sucks ...Continue reading

Wright State is the place to be! WSU has great dorms, good food but I felt it offered little in campus life. Most of the people in the dorms that I encountered where from nearby towns. For the most part the professors were professional. ...Continue reading

WSU is a great school for the individual that isn't looking to party all weekend. The academics are wonderful, i love the quarter system even though this will be taken out in the year of 2012. The people are friendly, great place to make new friends. Tons of social events to join, just everything you could ever imagine and more! ...Continue reading

if want to study then it is nice place The food is alright, but almost no healthy options, and the times are bad. I like campus and the grounds, besides students trashing the grounds it would be nice. Good Library. I am involved in many clubs and orbs. I do like the school overall. My only complaints are the internet and the food. ...Continue reading
