Pretty average school. I got to the point where I needed to change my major but there aren't very many options to pick from. The professors are alright, some are great and quite a few are a little out there. It has become more family orientated than anything. It is really unfortunate that the school will not allow the Greek life, they just don't understand how more involved they will get students with the community. This school is an okay two year plan, but after that move on. ...Continue reading

You get what you pay for, it's really not that great of a school and the professors have their opinions and if you don't agree with them, you get graded poorly and called small minded, even though they tell you to think for yourself. Cheap small school. Really focused on expanding as much as possible since becoming a Uni, spending 10x as much money is coming in, resulting in constant tuition hikes. Food is horrible, but its StG so no one notices. No night life at all. Kids, strollers, infants all over campus. Biggest complaint: Be mormon or be outcast. ...Continue reading

Dope school! I loved Dixie! I have found emphasis in my classes to be on learning as opposed to grades or sets of things to memorize. This campus is amazing. GOOD ENVIRONMENT. ABLE TO FOCUS ON MY STUDIES. I have had the time of my life here at Dixie State, just because it's a smaller school does not mean it has less opportunity. This University has the potential to be epic, but there is no identity behind it. The food is terrible on campus! The student atmosphere is very much unusual. The mass majority of students are LDS and active in outdoor activities and the rest are non-LDS and active, with a few who are less inclined to go outside. Overall, most are nice, but it's very noisy here. Take the time to read up on the grants/scholarships that you are applying for and ask as many questions as possible when talking to Financial Aide about it. ...Continue reading

This campus is great! If you're not mormon you can expect to have students criticize you every time you speak up in class. This school would be awesome without the judgemental mormons. The teachers however do not let religion interfere with the teaching. All in all it is a great school except for being judged a sinner by students It will reach University status in January 2013. I've never been to another campus so I don't have much to compare it to, but I love Dixie! I have been here 3.5 years and love it. I enjoy most of my profs. and classes, the campus is small but growing nicely, and there are a lot of great clubs. My only complaints are parking, the inconsistent and lack of class scheduling options, and campus food is only so so. ...Continue reading

I have had the time of my life here at Dixie State, just because it's a smaller school does not mean it has less opportunity. It had/has a reputation as a party school, but I didn't find that anymore than any other school I've been too. The Professors are great, classes are small, and the education thorough. The area is great and people are really friendly for the most part. ...Continue reading

GREAT, caring, personable professors. School with a home-town feel & super friendly students. I love Dixie! ...Continue reading
