There are four level of measurements; they are,

1)Nominal: When the names can be provided to the variables without any order, this level of measurement is Nominal.  

2)Ordinal: When the variables can be ranked according to one’s preference, this level of measurement is Ordinal.

3)Interval: When the difference can be computed between the variables, but the interval does not include true zero, this level of measurement is Interval.

4)Ratio: In the ratio scale, the true zero value can be included.
