Qualitative variables are variables that cannot be quantified and measured in terms of numbers. These variables depict the quality of the data where information is stored in categories, and therefore, can be referred to as categorical variables. For example, gender, nationality, smokers & non-smokers, and others.
Quantitative variables are variables that have numbers attached to them. These variables are quantifiable. For example, the weight and height of an individual or group of individuals.
