According to Snells law, the angle of refraction 2 of a light ray traveling in a medium

Chapter 3, Problem 12

(choose chapter or problem)

According to Snell’s law, the angle of refraction \(\theta_{2}\) of a light ray traveling in a medium of index of refraction n is related to the angle of incidence \(\theta_{1}\) of a ray traveling in a vacuum through the equation \(\sin \theta_{1}=n \sin \theta_{2}\). Assume that

\(\theta_{1}=0.3672 \pm 0.005\) radians and \(\theta_{2}=0.2943 \pm 0.004\) radians. Estimate n, and find the uncertainty in the estimate.
