Chapter 12, Problem 20

(choose chapter or problem)

Suppose \(f\) is a differentiable function of \(x\) and \(y\), and \(g(r, s)=f\left(2 r-s, s^{2}-4 r\right)\). Use the table of values in Exercise 19 to calculate \(g_{r}(1,2)\) and \(g_{s}(1,2)\).
