?Use the data in Table 19D.1 for the exchange-current density and transfer coefficient
Chapter 19, Problem E19D.4(b)(choose chapter or problem)
Use the data in Table 19D.1 for the exchange-current density and transfer coefficient for the reaction \(\mathrm{Fe}^{3+}+\mathrm{e}^{-} \rightarrow \mathrm{Fe}^{2+}\) on platinum at \(25^{\circ} \mathrm{C}\) to identify the current density needed to obtain an overpotential of 0.30 V as calculated (i) by using the Butler–Volmer equation, and (ii) by assuming that the current is entirely anodic. Comment on the validity of the latter assumption.
