In graph b), the acceleration is decreasing but there is only one black dot, which does not show the motion of the insect. In graph c), the graph shows that the position of the insect is changing continuously but in a descending order, which contradicts the statement given in the question. The insect actually is moving in the +ve x-axis with high speed but according to the graph it is not the case. In graph d), the velocity of the insect is increasing but there is one black dot, which shows it’s position. So, this is not the actual motion of the insect. In graph e), the velocity of the insect is decreasing but there is again one black dot showing it’s position. CONCLUSION: So, graph a) is true.
