According to newton’s third law, for every action there is a reaction force which is equal in magnitude but opposite in direction.

Here when we stand on the earth surface; since both the earth has mass M and a person has mass m. As they have masses,they are acted by an attraction force between them called gravitational force; which is directly proportional to the product of masses and inversely proportional to square of the distance(r).
