The wheel hasangular velocity a>i = 44.0 rad/s about its axle, and theturntable has angular velocity a)2 = 35.0 rad/s about avertical axis. (Note arrows showing these motions in thefigure.) (a) What are the directions of i and ia2 at theinstant shown? (b) What is the resultant angular velocity ofthe wheel, as seen by an outside observer, at the instantshown? Give the magnitude and direction, (c) What is themagnitude and direction of the angular acceleration of thewheel at the instant shown? Take the z axis verticallyupward and the direction ofthe axle at the momentshown to be thex axis pointing tothe right. FIGURE 10-46 15.
