An object is subjected to an applied upward force of 10 lbf. The only other force acting on the object is the force of gravity. The acceleration of gravity is 32.2 ft/\(s^{2}\). If the object has a mass of 50 lb, determine the net acceleration of the object, in ft/\(s^{2}\). Is the net acceleration upward or downward?
