Chapter 11, Problem 11.10

(choose chapter or problem)

A rigid tank contains 1 kg of oxygen \(\left(\mathrm{O}_{2}\right) \text { at } p_{1}=40 \mathrm{bar}\), \(T_{1}=180 \mathrm{~K}\). The gas is cooled until the temperature drops to 150 K. Determine the volume of the tank, in m3, and the final pressure, in bar, using the

(a) ideal gas equation of state.

(b) Redlich–Kwong equation.

(c) compressibility chart.
