A series-connected dc motor has RF +RA = 0.6 and draws IA = 40 A from the dc source voltage VT = 220 V, while running at 900 rpm. The rotational losses are 400 W. Find the output power and developed torque. Suppose that the load torque is reduced by a factor of two and that the rotational power loss is proportional to speed. Find the new values of IA and speed.
