Unlimited Overhang Four identical textbooks, each of length L, are stacked near the edge of a table, as shown in Figure 928. The books are stacked in such a way that the distance they overhang the edge of the table, d, is maximized. Find the maximum overhang distance d in terms of L. In particular, show that ; that is, the top book is completely to the right of the table edge. (In principle, the overhang distance d can be made as large as desired simply by increasing the number of books in the stack.)
