Chapter 2 Problem 12

Question

Problem 12CQ

How are instantaneous velocity and instantaneous speed related to one another? How do they differ?

Solution

Step 1 of 2:

We are discussing about the instantaneous velocity and instantaneous speed here. The instantaneous velocity is the velocity of a particle at a specific instant of time or a particular moment in time. Not to be confused with average velocity. The term instantaneous speed is also similar that of the instantaneous velocity in the case of magnitude. The time interval is infinitesimally small.
