Chapter , Problem 57

(choose chapter or problem)

(Ill) The position of a particle moving in the xy plane isgiven by r = 2.0cos (3.0rad/s t)i + 2.0sin (3.0rad/s t)\,where r is in meters and t is in seconds, (a) Show that thisrepresents circular motion of radius 2.0 m centered at theorigin, (b) Determine the velocity and acceleration vectors asfunctions of time, (c) Determine the speed and magnitude ofthe acceleration. (d) Show that a = v2/r. (e) Show that theacceleration vector always points toward the center of thecircle.
