Later, when themother discovers the room is still a mess, the boy says henever heard her telling him to clean his room. The velocityof sound is 340 m/s. (a) Find all of the angles 0 (Fig. 35-48)at which no sound will be heard within the bedroom whenthe mother yells. Assumesound is completely absorbedwhen it strikes a bedroomwall. (b) If the boy was at theposition shown when hismother yelled, does he have agood explanation for nothaving heard her? Explain.
