For the week of March 23, 2009, regular unleaded gasoline in Houston, Texas averaged $1.85 per gallon. For the same week, premium unleaded gasoline averaged $2.10 per gallon. Determine the blend of regular and premium unleaded gasoline that results in an optimal cost of mid-grade unleaded (89-octane) gasoline. What is the optimal cost?
