Chapter , Problem 33

(choose chapter or problem)

At a picnic, there is a contest in which hoses are used to shoot water at a beach ball from three directions. As a result, three forces act on the ball, F1 B , F2 B , and F3 B (see the drawing). The magnitudes of F1 B and F2 B are F1 5 50.0 newtons and F2 5 90.0 newtons. Using a scale drawing and the graphical technique, determine (a) the magnitude of F3 B and (b) the angle u such that the resultant force acting on the ball is zero.
