A 2.0-ft standing wave is produced at the bottom of the rectangular channel in an amusement park water ride. If the water depth upstream of the wave is estimated to be 1.5 ft, determine how fast the boat is traveling when it passes through this standing wave (hydraulic jump) for its final “splash.”
