Air flows through a constant area pipe. At an upstream

Chapter 11, Problem 11.61

(choose chapter or problem)

Air flows through a constant area pipe. At an upstream section (1), \(p_1 =15 \text{ psia}\), \(T_1=530~ ^\circ \mathrm R\), and \(V_1 = 200 \text{ ft/s}\). Downstream at section (2), \(p_2=10 \text{ psia and } T_2= 1760~^\circ \mathrm R\). For this flow, determine the stagnation temperature and pressure ratios, \(T_{0,2}/T_{0,1}\) and \(p_{0,2}/p_{0,1}\), and the heat transfer per unit mass of air flowing between sections (1) and (2). Is the flow between sections (1) and (2) frictionless? Explain.
