A pendulum consists of a string of length L and a bob of mass m. The bob is rotated until the string is horizontal. The bob is then projected downward with the minimum initial speed needed to enable the bob to make a full revolution in the vertical plane.

(a) What is the maximum kinetic energy of the bob?

(b) What is the tension in the string when the kinetic energy is maximum?
