Chapter 3, Problem 46P

(choose chapter or problem)

For each case, determine the specified property data and locate the state by hand on a sketch of the T-v diagram.

(a) Evaluate the specific volume, in \(\mathrm{ft}^3 / \mathrm{lb}\), and the specific enthalpy, in Btu/lb, of water at \(400^{\circ} \mathrm{F}\) and a pressure of \(3000 \mathrm{lbf} / \mathrm{in}.^2\)

(b) Evaluate the specific volume, in \(\mathrm{ft}^3 / \mathrm{lb}\), and the specific enthalpy, in Btu/lb, of Refrigerant 134a at \(95^{\circ} \mathrm{F}\) and \(150 \mathrm{lbf} / \mathrm{in}^2\)

(c) Evaluate the specific volume, in \(\mathrm{m}^3 / \mathrm{kg}\), and the specific enthalpy, in kJ/kg, of ammonia at \(20^{\circ} \mathrm{C}\) and \(1.0 \mathrm{MPa}\).

(d) Evaluate the specific volume, in \(\mathrm{m}^3 / \mathrm{kg}\), and the specific enthalpy, in \(\mathrm{kJ} / \mathrm{kg}\), of propane at \(800 \mathrm{kPa}\) and \(0^{\circ} \mathrm{C}\).
