Using Energy Concepts and the Ideal Gas ModelWater vapor

Chapter 3, Problem 114P

(choose chapter or problem)

Water vapor contained in a piston-cylinder assembly undergoes an isothermal expansion at \(240^{\circ} \mathrm{C}\) from a pressure of 7 bar to a pressure of 3 bar. Evaluate the work, in \(\mathrm{kJ} / \mathrm{kg}\). Solve two ways: using (a) the ideal gas model, (b) IT with water/steam data. Comment.
