ENGINEERING APPLICATION The distance from a point on the surface of Earth to a point on the surface of the moon is measured by aiming a laser light beam at a reflector on the surface of the moon and measuring the time required for the light to make a round trip. The uncertainty in the measured distance is related to the uncertainty in the measured time by If the time intervals can be measured to (a) find the uncertainty of the distance. (b) Estimate the percentage uncertainty in the distance.
