Chapter , Problem 16.78

(choose chapter or problem)

Podcast downloads. A 2006 Pew survey of Internet users asked whether or not they had downloaded a podcast at least once. The survey was repeated with different users in 2008. For the 2006 survey, 198 of the 2822 Internet users reported that they had downloaded at least one podcast. In the 2008 survey, the results were 295 of 1553 users. We want to use these sample data to test equality of the population proportions of successes. Carry out a permutation test. Describe the permutation distribution. Give the P-value and report your conclusion.
