Figure P7.42 shows two rigid tanks whose pneumatic capacitances are \(C_{1}\) and \(C_{2}\). The variables \(\delta p_{i}, \delta p_{1}\), and \(\delta p_{2}\) are small deviations around a reference steady-state pressure \(p_{s s}\). The pneumatic lines have linearized resistances \(R_{1}\) and \(R_{2}\). Assume an isothermal process. Derive a model of the pressures \(\delta p_{1}\) and \(\delta p_{2}\) with \(\delta p_{i}\) as the input.
