Step 1 of 3:

    Here we have

      Then, .         (since this value from standard normal table).

      The rejection region is z > 1.645.  

      Since the observed value of the test statistic falls in the rejection region, (z = 1.67 > 1.645).

      So is rejected.

    Therefore, there is sufficient evidence to indicate the true population mean is greater than 100 at 0.05.
