A critical flow nozzle is used to measure the mass flow

Chapter , Problem 10.11

(choose chapter or problem)

A critical flow nozzle is used to measure the mass flow rate of air ('Y = 1.4, R = 53.34 Btullbm-R). The pipe diameter is 1 in. and the nozzle diameter is 0.3 in. The pressure downstream of the nozzle is 14.70 psi (abs) and the pressure in the pipe upstream of the nozzle is 70 psi (abs). The upstream temperature is 250F. Estimate the mass flow rate, assuming that the discharge coefficient C is unity.
