You are asked to choose a flowmeter to measure the flow of hot water from a boiler. The three flowmeters to consider are the nozzle, orifice plate, and venturi tube, all with the same value of f3. Compare (rank) the following differential-pressure flowmeters installed in a 5-cm (2-inch) pipe in terms of size (length of the insertion into the line), pressure drop across the meter, overall pressure loss, accuracy, and cost. Assume that the same differentialpressure transducer can be used for all meters.
