Chapter 0, Problem 96

(choose chapter or problem)

A gas is said to expand adiabatically if there is no loss or gain of heat. The formula for the adiabatic expansion of air is , where p is the pressure, v is the volume, and c is a constant. If, at a certain instant, the pressure is and the volume is , find the value of c (a dyne is the unit of force in the cgs system).
