Shown in the first figure is a broken-line curve obtained by taking two adjacent sides of a square, each of length , decreasing the length of the side by a factor f with , and forming two sides of a smaller square, each of length . The process is then repeated ad infinitum. If in the second figure, express the length of the resulting (infinite) broken-line curve in terms of f.
