AnRC circuit consists of a resistor R = 32 ?, a capacitor
Chapter 24, Problem 101GP(choose chapter or problem)
An RC circuit consists of a resistor \(R=32 \Omega\) , a capacitor \(C=25 \mu F\), and an ac generator with an rms voltage of 120 V.
(a) At what frequency will the rms current in this circuit be2.9 A? For this frequency, what are
(b) the rms voltage across the resistor \(V_{r m s, R}\) and
(c) the rms voltage across the capacitor, \(V_{r m s, c}\)?
(d) Show that \(V_{r m s, R}+V_{r m s, c}>120 \mathrm{~V}\), but that
\(\sqrt{V_{r m s, R}^{2}+V_{r m s, c}^{2}}=120 \mathrm{~V}\)
