Use the rotation formulas (5) to show that distance is invariant under a rotation of axes. That is, show that the distance from P1 = 1x1 , y12 to P2 = 1x2 , y22 in the xy-plane equals the distance from P1 = 1x= 1 , y= 12 to P2 = 1x= 2 , y= 22 in the x y@plane
