Exercise 12-9 introduced the hospital patient satisfaction survey data. One of the variables in that data set is a categorical variable indicating whether the patient is a medical patient or a surgical patient. Fit a model including this indicator variable to the data using all three of the other regressors. Is there any evidence that the service the patient is on (medical versus surgical) has an impact on the reported satisfaction?
