Refrigerant-134a is expanded isentropically from 600 kPa

Chapter 7, Problem 37P

(choose chapter or problem)

Refrigerant-134a is expanded isentropically from \(600 \mathrm{kPa}\) and \(70^{\circ} \mathrm{C}\) at the inlet of a steady-flow turbine to \(100 \mathrm{kPa}\) at the outlet. The outlet area is \(1 \mathrm{~m}^{2}\), and the inlet area is \(0.5 \mathrm{~m}^{2}\). Calculate the inlet and outlet velocities when the mass flow rate is \(0.75 \mathrm{~kg} / \mathrm{s}\).
