Then,we write the principle of work and energy.Note that the initial kinetic energy  is zero,and that we have set the gravitational potential energy reference at the height of .It is also important to remark that at the end of the motion,the instantaneous center of zero velocity is located at A.This is so because if the motion where to continue (if there were no wall),the direction of the velocity at A would change,which means that exactly at this instant the velocity must  be zero.
