Chapter 20, Problem 20-39

(choose chapter or problem)

At the instant \(\theta = 60^{\circ}\), the telescopic boom AB of the construction lift is rotating with a constant angular velocity about the z axis of \(\omega_{1} = 0.5 \ rad/s\) and about the pin at A with a constant angular speed of \(\omega_{2} = 0.25 \ rad/s\). Simultaneously, the boom is extending with a velocity of 1.5 ft/s, and it has an acceleration of \(0.5 \ ft/s^{2}\), both measured relative to the construction lift. Determine the velocity and acceleration of point B located at the end of the boom at this instant.
