The bacterium EscherichiaBIO coli (or E. coli) is a singlecelledorganism that lives inthe gut of healthy humans andanimals. When grown in a uniformmedium rich in salts andamino acids, it swims alongzig-zag paths at a constantspeed changing direction atvarying time intervals. Figure FIGURE P1 .61P 1.61 shows the positions of an E. coli as it moves from pointA to point J. Each segment of the motion can be identified bytwo letters, such as segment BC. During which segments, if any,does the bacterium have the samea. Displacement? b. Speed? c. Velocity?
