Catching a Cold Do well-rounded people getfewer colds? A study on the Chronicle of Higher Educationwas conducted by scientists at Carnegie MellonUniversity, the University of Pittsburgh, and the Universityof Virginia. They found that people who haveonly a few social outlets get more colds than thosewho are involved in a variety of social activities.16Suppose that of the 276 healthy men and womentested, n1 96 had only a few social outlets andn2 105 were busy with six or more activities.
