Half ofthe women took placebos and half took Prempro, awidely prescribed type of hormone replacement therapy.There were 40 cases of dementia in the hormonegroup and 21 in the placebo group.14 Is there sufficientevidence to indicate that the risk of dementia ishigher for patients using Prempro?
