(choose chapter or problem)

The Fibonacci sequence of numbers occurs in various scientific contexts. The first two numbers in the sequenceare 1,1. Then every succeeding number is the sum of thetwo previous numbers: 1, 1, 1 1 1 5 2, 1 1 2 5 3, 2 13 5 5, 8, 13, 21, . . . . The first digit of any number in thissequence can be 1, 2, . . . , or 9. The frequencies of firstdigits for the first 85 numbers in the sequence are as follows:25 (1s), 16 (2s), 11, 7, 7, 5, 4, 6, 4. Does thedistribution of first digits in the Fibonacci sequenceappear to be consistent with the Benfords Law distributiondescribed in Exercise 21 of Chapter 3? State andtest the relevant hypotheses.
