(a) The 2003 population data for three states are listed below. Use the data in the first table of the Chapter 7 Project to create a 3 2 matrix that estimates the number of males and females in each state.(c) Multiply your 3 2 matrix in part (b) by the scalar 0.01 to change the values from percentages to decimals. (d) Use matrix multiplication to multiply the transpose of the matrix from part (c) by the matrix from part (a). What information does the resulting matrix provide? (e) How many males under age 18 lived in these three states in 2003? How many females age 65 or older lived in these three states?
