The vertices of an equilateral triangle are ( 6, 0) and (0, 6 ). Verify that the sum of the three distances from the point (1, 2) to the sides of the triangle is equal to the height of the triangle. (It can be shown that, for any point inside an equilateral triangle, the sum of the distances to the sides is equal to the height of the triangle. This is Vivianis theorem.)
