Show that equation (2.10) for a wave can be written in all these forms: y = A sin 2 (x vt) = A sin 2 x t T = A sin x v t = A sin 2x 2ft = A sin 2 T x v t . Here is the wavelength, f is the frequency, v is the wave velocity, T is the period, and = 2f is called the angular frequency. Hint: Show that v = f.
