The heat index is a temperature which tells you how hot it feels as a result of the combination of temperature and humidity. See Table 8.3. Heat exhaustion is likely to occur when the heat index reaches 105F. (a) If the temperature is 80F and the humidity is 50%, how hot does it feel? (b) At what humidity does 90F feel like 90F?
