The equilibrium constant Kc for the decomposition of

Chapter 15, Problem 45QP

(choose chapter or problem)

The equilibrium constant \(K_{\mathrm{c}}\) for the decomposition of phosgene \(\left(\mathrm{COCl}_2\right)\) is \(4.63 \times 10^{-3}\) at \(527^{\circ} \mathrm{C}\) :

\(\mathrm{COCl}_2(\mathrm{~g}) \rightleftarrows \mathrm{CO}(\mathrm{g})+\mathrm{Cl}_2(\mathrm{~g})\)

Calculate the equilibrium partial pressures of all the components, starting with pure phosgene at \(0.760 \mathrm{~atm}\).
