The age of some animal bones was detcmiined by carbon-14 dating to be 8.4 × 103 years old. Calculate the activity of the carbon-14 in the bones in disintegrations per minute per gram, given that the original activity was 15.3 disintegrations per minute per gram. (Sec 20.29 for the half-life of carbon-14.)
