Chapter 12, Problem 12.37

(choose chapter or problem)

Develop a computer program for calculating the mass flow in a truncated nozzle. The input to the program would be total pressure, total temperature, back pressure, ratio of specific heats, gas constant, and nozzle diameter. Run the program and compare the results with Example 12.12 in 12.4. Run the program for back pressures of 80, 90, 110, 120, and 130 kPa and make a table for the variation of mass flow rate with back pressure. What trends do you observe? This program will be useful for Probs. 12.38, 12.39, 12.41. and 12.42.
