(choose chapter or problem)

The Guinness Book of World Records, 2004 states that Dominic OBrien (England) memorized on a single sighting a random sequence of 54 separate packs of cards all shuffled together (2808 cards in total) at Simpsons-In-The-Strand, London, England, on May 1, 2002. He memorized the cards in 11 hours 42 minutes, and then recited them in exact sequence in a time of 3 hours 30 minutes. With only a 0.5% margin of error allowed (no more than 14 errors), he broke the record with just 8 errors. If we let x represent the time (hours) it takes to memorize the cards and y represent the number of cards memorized, then a rational function that models this event is given by According to this model, how many cards could be memorized in an hour?
